Join us for a captivating two-part storytelling series facilitated by the renowned storyteller Simi Srivastava, where ancient wisdom meets modern parenting! Delve into the epic adventures of the Ramayana and discover essential life skills for children, along with valuable parenting techniques to strengthen family bonds.

Each module will focus on a different phase of the Ramayana, teaching key lessons through storytelling, discussion, and hands-on activities.

Module 1: (6th October)

Quest Before Laxman Rekha

Join Simmi Srivastva on an epic journey through the Ramayana! Discover heroism and adventure in a storytelling experience that ignites the imagination!

Explore the early adventures of the Ramayana, leading up to the pivotal moment of the Laxman Rekha. Through these stories, children will learn about courage, decision-making, and responsibility, while parents will gain insights into role modeling and positive reinforcement.

Module 2: (13th October)

Quest After Laxman Rekha

Continue your journey with Simmi Srivastva as you listen to and enact Ramayana’s epic adventures and discover transformative magic of storytelling.

In the second session, we dive into the epic challenges that unfold after crossing the Laxman Rekha. The focus will be on teaching empathy, problem-solving, and resilience, with parenting tips on fostering sibling relationships and guiding children through challenges.

What’s in store:

Storytelling: Experience the magic of the Ramayana with interactive narration, visual aids, and role-play.

Discussion: Reflect on the story’s lessons with facilitator who’ll guide parents on how to integrate these values into everyday life.

Collaborative Activity: Bond with your child through creative tasks like drawing, role-playing, and problem-solving games.

Take-home Reflection: Parents will receive a task to continue the learning at home, reinforcing family connections and life lessons.

Each child must be accompanied by a parent. This workshop is specifically designed to strengthen the bond between kids and parents through shared learning and activities.

Artist Bio

Simi Srivastava, a master storyteller and founder Kathashala, has been narrating stories for close to three decades using different art forms, genres and techniques to entertain, educate and engage her audience. She is an author, an educationalist who has successfully promoted stories as a pedagogy at school as well as university level. She is a parenting expert who encourages use of stories to bond with children and a Story Therapist, helping people identify, introspect and heal.
