Drawing Series – Human Figure

Methods Workshop Series
In this 2-Day drawing workshop, participants will learn the process of drawing human figures from simple stick figures as a foundation and then evolving it into a cohesive full-body figure. The sessions will also focus on figure anatomy, proportion principle, shading techniques and ways to capture light and shadow. Participants will understand life studies better by studying the model present at the workshop.
It is mandatory for all participants (18+) to attend both days of the workshops. Participants with a drawing background may enjoy the process of the workshop more. Art material and refreshments will be provided. The onsite workshop with limited seats will be held at KNMA Saket.
Ruchin Soni holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Painting and a Master of Fine Arts degree in Mural Designs, both from The Faculty of Fine Arts, M.S. University, Baroda in Gujarat. With an impressive range of skills and experience, the artist has received several awards, grants, and fellowships for their outstanding contributions to the field of art. In 2015, the artist received a grant from the Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs for an artist residency program in Oaxaca, Mexico.
Soni has participated in various exhibitions, both solo and group shows. In 2016, he held an open studio at El Diablo y la Sandia in Oaxaca, Mexico, and in 2014, he participated in a group show called "Three Sentences" curated at 24 Jor Bagh in New Delhi. The artist has also participated in several street art projects and festivals across India and beyond. Notably, he painted a large mural on Pt. Biriu Maharai in Lodhi Art District, New Delhi in collaboration with St + Art. Currently, he is working with the World University of Design in Sonipat.
