As part of a very unique collaboration, ArtReach India’s Teaching Fellowship for Udayan Care (NGO) is being supported by Kiran Nadar Museum of Art, Saket. This fellowship aims to facilitate art inspired alternative educational modules to allow children from all walks and strata to be able to engage in art and simultaneously also learn and educate themselves. On 12th October 2016, marching ahead on its path of holistic Community Outreach, the museum had a visit + workshop by students of Udayan Care. Special facilitators Anuradha Shokhi and Ashok Shokhi, theatre artists, researchers, and educators in their own right were invited by KNMA to host and conduct a specially designed workshop for the group of students. These students were first given an informative tour of the museum and the exhibitions. A special focus was given to Jeram Patel’s ‘Hospital Series’. These students were asked to pay keen attention to the way diseased human body is depicted in his art. Suiting the theme of the exhibition, the workshop that followed was based on knowing the science of human body better. Later in the workshop, facilitated by Anuradha Shokhi , these students, in able team work, they successfully drew and reconstructed the internal bodily parts. The workshop enabled them to interact among themselves creatively and understanding the science of human body better
