KNMA Saket hosted a unique gathering titled 'Wanderlust Diaries : Travellers' Potluck and Other Stories' which invited travel and food enthusiasts to view the current exhibition on view STRETCHED TERRAINS and also share their stories of travel, moderated by mountaineer and researcher, Alisha Pathak. The walk-through was designed where all the seven exhibitions were tied by the thread of Food. For example, in the Delhi Moderns exhibition, the experiences with the famous Parikrama, the revolving restaurant in Connaught Place were recalled, in the Parthiv Shah exhibition, the lanes of Nizamuddin and it's mouth watering food was recalled, there was also the image of FN Souza's Butcher evoking the reality of out times, and finally the walk ended with Atul Dodiya's tribute to the Mahatama, recalling Gandhi's Dandi March of producing sea salt as political protest of his times. Following the walk there was sharing of reflections and also recipes by elder participants. The meeting culminated with one visitor offering a home-baked date cake to share with everyone, plus there were Italian Basil seeds at the counter as a take-away for all the participants.
