This first collateral talk in the artist talk series by Roobina Karode revolved around the exhibition 'a view to infinity, Nasreen Mohamedi: A Retrospective', which looked at a comprehensive body of the artist’s works for the first time. Karode in this talk led the audience into the world of Nasreen, her life, her work and her intriguing persona through personal anecdotes and rare insights registered by her about the self-evolving discipline of Nasreen, with regard to both her art and life. The talk aimed to navigate through a methodology to comprehend and archive the artist’s life and work, keeping in mind the autobiographical undercurrents with relation to her art which evolved out of her philosophical temperament, commitment to abstraction, her unique art pedagogy and an unswerving zest for life.
