Our Guidelines

Our guidelines help protect the museum's collection and ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. Please follow security officers' instructions and remember that touching works of art is strictly prohibited. Watch our videos "Welcome to the KNMA" and "When You Arrive" for a brief introduction and orientation to the museum.

Check Room

All bags entering the museum are subject to a security check. Please cooperate with the security in charge at the reception. The museum provides visitors the facility to Check-In their bags at the reception which can be collected on the way out.


Sketching is permitted inside the museum, though only pencils are allowed. Pens and colours are not allowed inside exhibition space.


No photography is permitted inside the museum. People carrying cameras can avail the Check-In facility at the museum reception. Upon special request, the museum does provide photographs for research purposes.

Cell Phone

Please respect others' space and privacy inside the museum premises and refrain from talking loudly on the phone. During talks and other programs, please keep your phones on silent and abstain from taking calls all together. In case of urgency, please step out to make or receive a call.

Food and Drinks

Food and Drinks are not permitted inside the exhibition space.

No Smoking

Smoking is not permitted in the museum premises.

  • Free Entrance

    The museum is an all-inclusive space and for this reason entry to the museum space and to the exhibitions is free of cost. Most workshops organized by the museum also do not entail a participation fee.

  • Parking

    Since the museum is housed in a mall, paid and safe parking option is easily available. You can park your car in the Mall parking and walk to the museum.

  • Mobility Access

    Being on the ground floor of the building complex, the museum is wheelchair accessible. Wheelchair is also available at the museum upon request.

  • Public Transport

    The museum is well connected by public transport from across the city. The closest metro station to the museum is Malviya Nagar on the Yellow Line. Additionally, situated on a well-connected bus route, the area is also linked to other parts of the city through buses that ply on regular intervals, the closest stop being Khirki Village, right opposite one of Asia’s biggest mall complex of which the museum is part of. Delhi tourism’s Hop on-Hop off buses also halt at the same bus stop and can be used to plan a visit to museum along with other tourist destinations.
